Today content is regarded as the king for its role in the SEO activities for a website. You would require having an original content in order to attain a higher rank in the Google search engine and for that purpose only you post various blogs, articles, images as well as videos.
But unfortunately many a times your hard earned effort is stolen by some of the geeks via duplicate contents taken from your original………guess how would you feel? If we have a look on the statistics, we see that the content theft is very common and there is hardly any website which is not affected.

DISABLING TEXT SELECTION
In some articles you might have seen that you are unable to select the text, the same can be applied on your website as well. Here the content thief shall not be able to copy the text of your webpage directly. However there are other ways as well to fetch the content but at least this feature would restrict the content theft to some extent.
USING GOOGLE AUTHORSHIP
This is a very powerful tool to protect your content and also building the online reputation of your brand. Here what you do is, you simply enter your online material and claim authorship for it via Google.
But here the one thing you should remember is that you should not be using any fake names as such, but in turn you have to specifically mention your true name and identity. However multiple writers can be used at Google Authorship program but all of them have to claim their articles separately. Once you post your article and claim it under Google Authorship, Google would come to know about the original creator of this content.
SETTING OF GOOGLE ALERTS TO CHECK FOR COPIED CONTENT
With the help of Google alerts you are actually able to not only secure your content but also catch the thieves. Now here what happens is that you copy the text of your content and create alerts accordingly for notifications if they appear online elsewhere.
So if in case the words resembling to your text are discovered somewhere else, and then you get an alert. Most of the times it’s your first paragraph which has a higher probability of getting copied, so separate alert can also be prepared.
